PWN noise supression for G Scale

Hi all,

My garden rail LGB loco has recently been fitted with battery power and an RC system (using Deltang components, but based on a kit from another supplier). The train runs well, the smoke generator and lights are all functioning properly, and i'm general pretty happy. But one thing i've found is that there is a distinct noise coming from the motor. I spoke to the supplier (Peter Spoerer) and he said that its PWM noise:

Smoke generator questions.....

I'm about ready to start designing  a Hobo camp scene on my layout. Probably over done these days but I've got to have one.  I bought a "fire kit"  and got some appropriate hobos and thought that maybe that should do it but then I remembered something I had in my junk box.

Remondation for soldering feeders to track.

I've just started hand laying my track and that's going ok. I mentioned in my blog that I had wired feeder wires to the rail joiners when I laid my rail. It was recommended that I not do this and solder directly to the rails.

Now, my question is: How exactly should to solder to the rails? Before I spike them in place? How do I get the solder joint to fall between two ties? After everything is spiked in place? Some where in between?

No hurry, the glue is still drying on the ties.

Port of Morehead City- Long Overdue Update

It's been far too long since my last update. While work on the layout has been moving at an absolutely glaical pace for the past several months, this last week I've been working feverishly to get some work done. The main thing I've accomplished since the last post was the completion of the trackwork.

LED color question

Hi I am back with another question this one about the color you recommend for LED lighting. I will most likely get the rolls and am not sure what the best color is. If you could share your opinions below that would be great. Thanks again to all of you.

[GWMS Model Railroad Club] Help With Yard

Well I am looking for help now with some wiring. I am working on getting a switch module (see image). We will most likely be making a yard module and I was wondering if anyone had suggestions for blocks. The yard blocks would be separated by track and run by the sam power pack as their respective tracks. If we were running DCC this wouldn't be a problem but we have DC if anyone could help please do. Thanks in advance, Trainmaster247.

12V bulb and LED Wire Connectors

I'm looking for some simple 2-wire plugs/connectors so I can unplug certain lights if I need to do some future maintenance on, for example, a building.

I saw these and they seemed fine but is the 12V used on grain of wheat or a full 12V LED considered low voltage in this application? There does not appear to be any specs on it.

GWMS Model Railroad Club

Hi I am sure most of you have seen my past posts on the Model Railroad Club and had a suggestion to combine them all into one so this is where I will move all past posts and future ones so they can be easily found. If anyone has any other suggestions feel free to post them in the comments or PM me thanks again to all of you people who have helped and are following my posts.
