Constant Lighting Circuit - DC - and Parts Diagram Question

I am not sure if this is being done right, but I have attached a location diagram for the electronic components for a constant lighting circuit (DC) (schematic attached) for installing 3 LEDs in an Athearn 200t Railroad Crane. Could someone take a look at the 2 images and let me know if things look okay, before I warm up my soldering iron?

Going DCC but...

  Hi

In the process of preparing my locos for DCC installation, I have found a small problem....an old Proto

Reversing loop schematics with dwell timer

Hello All,

I am hoping someone out there may be able and willing to help me. I am looking for a circuit diagram for a revering circuit to control an incline rail setup, I want both the run time and dwell time at both ends variable, or if posible sensors at the top and bottom to trigger the reverse cycle. My electronic skills are limited to medium.

Walthers Turntable control box calls for AC? Shouldn't DC be fine?

OK I've got situation here that makes me feel stupid for apparently throwing out or otherwise losing my old train  "power pack".

Help with an Athearn Blue Box locomotive

Hello all. I am in need of some advice on how to get my Athearn locomotive to run. Heres the story.

It was a gift from my wife for my birthday. The guy told her he had taken it apart at one time and had put it back together but could not get it running.

I noticed the metal band that goes across the top of the engine was missing so I soldered wires to each of the tabs that stick up from one side of the power trucks. Both are on the same side so they are getting power from one rail. Soldered those wires to each end of the top motor clip.

Jumper wire

What gauge of wire would be good for a jump wire for a HO scale turnout?

Also what type of wire is good for feeder that would be soldered to a rail?

Purchasing Strategy : "Stockpiling" VS "J-i-T"?

Dear MRHers,

As I plow thru my current layout-build project, I've necessarily been obtaining various parts and components to "git 'er done". Funnily enough though, I've found that I'm actually purchasing less than I imagined, as a quick look thru the "warehouse" reveals that I already have a significant number of the various required components on-hand.

Nano Motor use?

I was browsing this morning and found a site called "SparkFun" with some interesting stuff. They are selling a rotary nanomotor for about $9 .... rotates up to 60 degrees. I was thinking semaphore movement or possibly even switch motor.

I am wondering if you can leave one stalled for a fairly long period of time.
