Layout tour
Baro's 9x2.5
Hello folks, never really posted here but thought I'd share the current progress on my little 9x2.5 N scale layout I've been working on over the last year.
The layout is almost entirely urban with most buildings scratch-built.
My most recent task has been striping the streets and generally getting that sort of work done.
British layout with canal lock - 10 or 20 years ago
I'm wanting to find a layout article that appeared in Model Railroader magazine 10 or 20 years ago. It featured a layout modeling a British scene. The highlight (as far as I'm concerned) was a model of a canal with a lock-- the water was higher on one side than the other. It's the only such model I've ever seen.
I kept it in my "inspiration" file for a long time, but lost track over the years.
Can anyone help me track this down?
Two French cars in the USA
Hello everyone, Here is the latest news from my American module. The decor advances, the trees are all homemade. Sorry for the cars, I only have European models (two Citroens). The result in photos.
Operations Testing
I got tired of doing scenery so I switched to running trains. Over the couple of weeks, I have been testing the first section of my "Train Sequence Schedule". The first 6 of 19 trains scheduled during the 0001 AM - 0600 AM time frame have been run so far and I have had to make some changes as to where trains are parked in the staging level as well as in Union Station.
WIP -CN Intermodal Yard
Temporarily set the Intermodal scene on my layout -Trenton Subdivision in N Scale and placed much of the elements to ensure that everything will fit and gauge locations for light poles. The lights are non-working as I won’t be operating the layout in the dark. The telephone poles in the foreground will be substituted for lights.
Time at (P&WV) N&W Clairton Yard
The P&WV(N&W) Clairton Yard interchanges with The Union Railroad. The Belt Local with services the yard twice a day is here in the morning to do some switching. As the Belt Local enters the yard the Union Railroad with Crew #53 is coming down the hill on the Mifflin Branch to Mifflin Junction. After doing there switching the Belt local has some foreign road power on the head end .
Touring the "Air Line" branch of the Valley Line
I forgot to include the "Air Line" section in my layout tour video from a few weeks ago, so here it is (and using a gimbal for the first time . . .). Constructive criticism, tips, suggestions, and other feedback always welcome, so lemme know what you think!
April May update for the JAM
Greetings all. I have been working quite a bit on the new L portion of the Johnstown and Maryville Railroad. I added two new industries and just finished adding the town of Johnstown. While its not nearly completed, its far enough along to show the progress.
I used the Model Builder program from Evan Designs to make the brick street, then printed them on a color laser printer.
