Cutting Foam for Scenery

I have moved into adding foam around the track work that has been laid already.  I want to run trains in the mountain area without the risk of locos or rolling stock dashing to the floor.  Hence the foam.

Now I don't know about you but I have worked with foam before...in the garage...and it can get messy.  Well the new layout is in the 'man cave'.  This is a "den/extra room" that I installed double doors on and thereby was granted free reign of my new kingdom.  Behind closed doors, but nevertheless free reign!!

Analog Fast Clocks

To All: To all but especially to the person that wanted to know how to build an

analog fast clock. Simply remove the second hand from a large wall

clock. I post a sign next to it that states, for example, that 10 minutes

Did you know Samsung makes model railway detail parts?

Had to replace some of the toner cartridges in my laser printer the other day, and while paying 50 bucks a pop for coloured dust leaves me a little cold I was glad I looked over the old cartridges to see what makes 'em tick. They are full of little gears and "castings" After I ripped all the useful parts off them I gave them a spray of silver paint. When the silver was dry I gave them a rusty wash followed by a dark wash and Voila!

Printing White?

I have not looked at this for a few years, The Alps printers are gone and I was wondering if there is any new technology for printing white or metal colors for decals and signs. I am hoping for a home solution that will not break the bank. Any information will be welcomed.

Regards,

John

Glueing Metal to Cardstock.

Hello All!!

I'm just now, going to glue Northeastern Scale Models(NSM), Corrugated Metal (HOSSMRSB) roof material, onto cardstock. But in the past, I did have a problem where the metal roof material, literally just popped right off, afte being glued well, for days! Obviously the wrong choice of the glue I used!!

Not wanting to make that mistake again, I decided I would conduct this little, totally non scientific experiment!!
