iCar from Minuteman Scale Models
I've discovered yet another use for my iPhone - on car videos using "iCar" from Minuteman Scale Models (http://www.minutemanscalemodels.com/product_p/87-10.htm.) This is pretty cool.

Success!
A new engine has entered the roster at the Euclid yard of THE GREATER NICKEL PLATE. Thanks to help from friends on this site, much sweating, swearing, soldering, testing, re-soldering, re-testing and praying. S-4 Number 12 is alive and running after installation of a new motor and a Z scale decoder.

Trolley Stripping
Alcohol - 1; Oven Cleaner - 0 !! They must not make off-brand oven cleaners as good as advertised. In short, it didn't work after several good coatings and left in a plastic bag overnight.

Painting Help
I just purchased a trolley for a static display on a non operational track on the city street scene on my railroad. The body is plastic and the windows consist of painted silhouettes on a semi-translucent film. I want to repaint the body and roof in two different colors and re-letter the trolley.

To Joe - Paint brand for painting ties?
Hello Joe,
I wonder what paint (brand and color) did you use for the ties? In your video you mention only for the rails.
Thank you,
Jure Sporn

What's your technique for drilling holes?
Hey everyone,
This is a general inquiry about successful techniques for drilling hundreds of those #78-#80 sized holes for grab irons or other tiny details. What do you use to accomplish this other than a pin vise?
The thought that has crossed my mind is to use one of those cordless screw drivers with a micro chuck or a slow speed model drill press. Both of these options are fairly costly. Of course, so are broken drill bits. So, any good ideas to preserve the wallet and personal sanity are appreciated.

Micro Kristal Klear
Hi all,
I want to glaze some small windows on MOW equipment. I have some Micro Kristal Klear that has gotten thick. Would anyone know of an appropriate thinner?
Thanks for any advice.

Eponymous Paint Booth
After 30 years of using TV and computer monitor boxes for a paint booth, I finally broke down and built a proper one. Besides, current versions of TV and monitor boxes just don't have the right form factor.
