Easy Model Railroad Inventory - Potential Addition #2
There has been a request that two additional fields be added to Easy Model Railroad Inventory. Both are date fields:
Last service date – last date locomotive/car was inspected maintained – ie checked couplers, wheels, bolster, looked for broken/missing parts, oiled, lubed, etc. – details of service in existing note box
Free parts ...
Seems like everyone either has a computer printer die, or knows someone whose printer died. If you let the word out that you want one they tend to come out of the woodwork. Inside you will find it has a wealth of gears, springs, shafts, motors, wiring harnesses, and other goodies!
Easy Model Railroad Inventory Bug Fix
Version 3.1 of Easy Model Railroad Inventory is a bug fix in the library section of the program. Most of you will not have noticed but there is always one. While I was at it I added some more reports and changed others as requested.
Version 3.1 03/22/2011
Thanks for all of your support.
Easy Model Railroad Inventory How To #5 (Operations Research Sources)
I have been asked to write a blog entry about operations and Easy Model Railroad Inventory. Before I do that I think it is appropriate for me to explain how I approached my research. Etching glass
I'm always impressed by the range of knowledge here. My club wants to etch lettering and a logo onto a glass door panel. Is there a process that will let us either do this with the door in place (preferred), or else let us do it with the door removed and placed flat?
Second Deck Support on the 8th Sub
As the second deck benchwork continues above the staging areas, I needed to start adding the permanent supports. My original idea was to use threaded rod, but crew member Jeff Weymouth had some reservations, principally about sharp edges posing a hazard to an unwary staging operator. He suggested using some wood dowels instead. At last night's work session, he and fellow crewman James Gronwald were "volunteered" to proceed with the installation, which seems to have been a great success.
