Getting Started with TruColor

I am getting ready to start spraying a few models with TruColor.

This will be my first time working without Floquil, so tips and pointers will be greatly appreciated.

Couple of notes,

1. I am using an airbrush.

2. I plan to use TruColor, I have already purchased the paint. lets try to stay away from the "I would never use that" or "I use ...... paint"

Just looking for help/tips/etc for those who have used TruColor.

Thanks,

The 3-D Printed Camera Car is Revised & Demonstrated

Is this PanPastel still usable

Hi,

I got this PanPastel from a vendor on Amazon.fr. The inside is a mess, and I don't know if I can still use it.

Board by board construction

This is a question about building a structure board by board with scale wood.

My question is, what tools, glues and techniques do you use?

I have my workbench set up with a board, the wall diagram taped down and wax paper taped down on top.

Recommendations of how to keep things from moving around and keep everything square.

Bill.

Bench Top Drill presses and bit sizes

Wife and I both want a bench top drill press with out spending an arm and or a leg.

Lowes has a Porter-Cable 3.2 amp 5 speed model that I fit a size 56 bit into and couldn't pull it out. Porter-Cable rep says it will handle down to 1/32 bit.

Grizzly who is here in town has what they call a mini model bench top #67942 which will also handle a size 56 bit and the floor rep says it will go down to a #0

So is a #0 bigger then a #56?

Anybody have some experience to share or just insights would help a lot.

Alternative to 3M Suitcase Splices?

For some time the 3M 558 suitcase connectors have been preferred by many for making splices between large gauge bus wires and small gauge track drops.

There is another product that in has several advantages and is the same price.  The product is the Wago 221-413 LEVER-NUTS.

These can be obtained on Ebay in lots of 50 for less than 40 cents each.
