The San Miguel Central RR, On30.

"Whether I shall turn out to be the hero of my own life, or whether that station will be held by anybody else, these pages must show."

So, here I am. Born anew.
My journey in model railroading is a continuous one, and after building a layout in HOn3 the last couple of years, I've now jumped headfirst into the dark side of model railroading; On30!

As some may know, I live in Sweden and work as an artist/cultural heritage consultant.

OS Omaha 2021

October 22-23-24 eleven layouts in Omaha hosted OS Omaha 2021.  38 participants came from all over the Midwest to operate on the layouts.  Each person got to operate on 4 layouts, Friday night, Saturday morning and evening and Sunday morning.  In addition there were about a dozen local helpers and another dozen local operators that filled vacancies in one or more sessions.

The week building continues the helix and staging yards are first. The helix is a 2 and 1/2 turn on a 1.7% grade with the outside radius bing 37 inch and the inside 34 inch. But wait for it.... yes through a wall one side in my wood shop and the other in the layout room. Here are a few photos.

Project Organizer

Hello all,

Here is a photo of a project organizer I built towards the end of last year (2020) to help me be better organized when it comes to the many modeling projects that I have. (For some reason the projects seem to multiply)

When I get more time I'll post more photo's as a how-to on this project.

Stay tuned.

The Maryland Midland gets a farm and a forest.

One thing that was noticed immediately by this transplanted Nevadan was how many farms, churches and trees there are in Western Maryland.  I decided I needed a farm scene and some forest for the trains to run though.  On my layout the forested areas function as scene dividers between relatively prototypical scenes that are way too close together.  So here is the latest areas to have scenery on my Maryland Midland Railroad.
