Digitrax Sound Question
So, I have two 16 bit Digitrax sound decoders (SDXH166D) and of course the Digitrax PR3XTRA...

A dream of steam: City of New Orleans - a magic carpet made of steam, not steel
Let's get it right: Arlo Guthrie and Willy Nelson changed the lyrics - or misheard them - but Steve Goodman wrote and sang it like this:
Excuses for Steam
So, say you are modeling the modern era... say... 2014...
Well, there is now no longer any excuse NOT to have Steam running up the 10 Freeway (Interstate 10) in Los Angeles!

This video fills me with so much zen... (notice the drivers in cars don't seem to pay it a second glance, but every car alarm in every parking lot notices!)
Looking for Digitrax sound files
Okay, so, I'm new to Digitrax... I just took the plunge, and bought two SDXH166D Sound Decoders, and a PR3XTRA, and have been having a BLAST! After accidentally wiping one of my decoders, I had to learn how to replace the factory sounds rather quick like... I installed them, and LOVE them! (the motor part works a hell of a lot better than what I had before!)
Operations, and the West
Okay, so... taking stock at the collection so far, and figuring out maybe some ideas for a module, that will someday become a part of an Old West layout, and I figured this might be a bit fun to get some ideas from you folks. I have never been to an ops session, so I don't know the first clue about ops, or how to work it into the Old West, but... here's what I have so far (the cars seem limited and few, but, I've been building them from kits, they look real nice, and operate amazingly)

Getting Back to My Trains (Upgrading Old Stuff, FW&DC in 1930s)
I'VE GOT TO GET GOING
Here I am at age 75 - I have no layout and I have not run my HO trains in 30+ years. I started in HO in 1962 and stayed somewhat busy with it until the mid 1980s. My only MR activities since then have been reading/looking at model railroading stuff on the net(sites, forums, blogs, YouTube), buying a few new parts, and buying a few used items at train shows. Its time for me to stop just thinking about my trains and getting back to working on them.
The Great Western Steam Engine Fleet
It’s been a long time coming but I finally “lettered and numbered” my Great Western steam engines. Many thanks to William Brillinger of Precision Design Co. (www.pdc.ca)for the decal artwork and decal sheets. He did a fantastic job on the artwork and his decals are excellent quality. Also thanks to Jeff Shultz for a posting some time ago that pointed out that Bill does custom decals. The rest of the story is in the comments.
Update: I wasn't happy with the "point&shoot" photos so I redid them with my SLR.
