Help Identify This 0-6-0T Locomotive

Moose picked up this wee beastie, an HO scale 0-6-0T that Moose no find manufacturer or part number listed. Weighs a tonne!

Appears to be a Porter based on some photos Moose find online, but none quite match up...

Does anyone know anything about this locomotive, model or its intended prototype?

Changing the tender on a Bachmann 0-6-0 (or 2-6-0) (N scale)

So I found an N-scale Bachmann Spectrum Nickel Plate Road tender with a healthy price reduction and bought it, thinking along the lines of 'With this I can probably take various steam locos produced in different road names and make them into NKP locos'.

I was wondering if anyone has tried attaching this tender to the Bachmann 2-6-2 (which I have one of already, but which the Nickel Plate Road never did, so far as I can tell from the Historical Society's steam roster), or, to the Bachmann 0-6-0?

Removing Lettering

I needed to remove some lettering from a Rivarossi steam loco so I did a search of the forum. Lots of good ideas including my method of using oven cleaner. However the family is in the house and when I get an idea in my head I won't let it go so I needed a less smelly solution for tonight. I tried 99% alcohol. It removed the black paint just fine but didn't touch the white lettering. I tried Solvaset with no result. Then I tried erasing the lettering with a pencil eraser. No luck.

Bachmann 4-4-0 Domes

I've got a couple HO scale Bachmann "modern" 4-4-0 steam locomotives, one operable, and the other basically a parts donor.  I'd like to swap the steam and sand domes between the locos.  I tried gently twisting one off the donor loco, but it didn't want to budge.  Does anyone know whether they are glued on or simply a friction fit?  Or are they secured by a screw inside the boiler (I haven't disassembled either loco yet)?

Thanks in advance,

-Jack

Indiana Harbor Belt Steam Decal

I have a Rivarossi 0-8-0 but it is lettered for AT&SF. I would like to reletter it for IHB. Does anyone know of a source for the decals?

ahm ho 0-4-0 help

So for the past week I've been trying to install a dcc decoder into a ho ahm 0-4-0. I've insulated just about everything but it keeps shorting out. I've removed the motor. Insulated wheels from the frame but just can't figure out what I'm not doing. Has anyone attempted to add dcc to one of these. Because this is one of those projects I might just leave be. Thanks for any help I can't get yall. Have a great day.

Help Identifying Diecast Tenders

I have acquired some diecast steam locos and tenders that I have not been able to identify. Can anyone tell me who manufactured these tenders with what looks like a doghouse on the back?

Picked up a Union Pacific General at the Amherst Model Railroad Show this Weekend

Went to the Big E railroad show in West Springfield, MA this past weekend.  Great show and lots of people.  I'm mostly interested in O Gauge Generals and was lucky enough to find another to add to my small collection.  This was a Lionel Union Pacific.  If you'd like to take a look, you can see it running around the upper layer of my Southwest Tombstone layout in the video here.

Bachmann Light USRA 2-10-2 'problem'

I have a Bachmann USRA light 2-10-2 (HO) which I got very cheaply on eBay a few years ago.

It exhibited a slight 'waddle' which despite much tinkering I couldn't eliminate. I bought a new chassis from Bachmann and waddya know - it still waddles.
