Need a new smokebox front for a Mantua 0-4-0?

I'm working on yet another project to improve my skills in Sketchup and test the abilities of Shapeways.  I need a smokebox front for a Mantual 0-4-0, so I drew one.

If anybody needs one, I've made them available on Shapeways, with or without holes for handrails and number plates.

Progress Update - The Twins

Here's an update on progress on an identical pair of Porter 0-4-0T locomotives...

BLI GS-4

I Have a BLI Espee GS-4. Shortly after I purchased it, the gears cracked along with the lower gear case and the motor mount. I returned it to BLI, got the engine back 8 weeks later and had to send it back AGAIN; it ran awful.

When I got the engine back the second time, it still ran lousy! At this point, it makes a great paperweight. I also have their N&W "J." Its a lousy runner too.

Anyone else out there have problems with BLI steam?

I wonder if this would work?

I have, on more than one occasion, bemoaned the lack of 57"-58" steam locomotive drivers in HO scale.  Since I've been playing with 3D printing lately, I decided to see if it would even be remotely possible to have Shapeways make me a driver.  This is what I came up with:

57" 13 Spoke Steam Locomotive Driver, HO scale 3d printed Model trains Stainless Steel

What engine did these drivers come from?

Does anybody know what model these drivers came from?  I need quite a few 58" drivers, so it would be handy to find another source.  It turns out that the size is kind of rare..

Exciting times - 3D printed locomotive cab

I just got a package today!  Inside was my first attempt at a 3D printed locomotive cab from Shapeways, and I am pleased to report that it looks like it turned out beautifully.

I printed all of the doors and windows (both open and closed versions) inside the cab:

Canadian National Mikado 3275

Here is a painting of a CNR Mikado that I painted last year entitled JANUARY PAUSE.  Location is east of Whites Road Trenton Ontario. Can be viewed at http://www.marcmagee.com/

Bachman 4-6-0 N

Have one of these on my wish list. Is conversion to MT coupler easily done?

Running Light

Western Maryland 2-10-2 1129 (No such engine, but there was a 2-10-0 numbered 1129 for the Western Maryland) runs downhill to assist a train up over Savage Mountain. My IHC model outside on a Diorama. I got the caboose from a Train show.
