DCC - Electrical
Loksound and LEDs
I just installed a Loksound Select 6-aux into an HO Atlas C420 using the 8-pin plug. The loco already had resistors in place on the leads for the factory-installed LED lighting. The loco runs and sounds great, but I can't get the lights to work. The Lokprogrammer shows that LED Lighting mode is enabled.
Any ideas what's interfering with the lights' operation? Obviously, I missed something but I'm at a loss as to what it is.

Walthers 90' Built up turntable 933-2840 and using control box 933-2320
Hi all,
My question is mostly related to electrical making something work that is not for the intended use.
I have a Walthers 933-2840 90' built up turntable that is discontinued and has no control box to operate it that also has been discontinued.
I have been looking for a new control box that Walthers does not have or are ever going to have.
My question is, would anybody on this site know if this 933-2320 control box could be used to operate this turntable?
Thanks,
Barry

Hello,
All Metal Cars and Short Circuits
I am getting back into the hobby after 40 years away. I am currently running DC because I have no motive power that is DCC compatible but plan on converting as soon as the budget will allow. I am working to get my old rolling stock back in operating condition and among the survivors from that era are three Ulrich all metal cars: a gondola, a flat and a hopper. I have noticed that when any of these three cars derail they cause a short. Are all metal cars really compatible with DCC?

Stops and Starts
I have finished the West End of the Greater Nickel Plate. However, I have a minor problem in two areas of trackwork. First, let me say that I have reviewed and physically inspected every inch of the DCC wiring and soldered drops - none crossed and all are solid contacts. Second, I have cleaned both the track and wheels of operating engines - usually H-10's with good decoders.
Can an Arduino DCC controller control multiple addresses simultneously?
I would like to create a small diorama, a la shelf layout, whereupon multiple trollies operate. I want operation to be 100% automatic, and figured between track sensors and DCC control, this is very do-able.

LokSound Select reprogramming
I am about to go both feet into ESU decoders. I can get my hands on some Select decoders at a very good price. However, they are preprogrammed with a diesel sound file that I don't want. I want to program it for the Full Throttle steam package. I am also buying a Lok Programmer. Can I reprogram the decoder to the FT Steam? Is there a way to wipe out what's there and start over?

Digitrax SDH166D install
I have a problem connecting the lights on a NW7 loco but there are three lights, forward, reverse, and a cab light. Now I know how to connect for forward (white and blue wires) and reverse (yellow ans blue wires) lights but where do I connect the always on separate cab light?

DCC double-ended consisting
One of the things I really like to do with my diesel-era DCC layout is make my diesel lashups into double-ended consists. I'll start out with what it is, and then maybe later on we'll talk about how to set it up on the various systems.
The idea is simple - I like to make my diesel lashups so the end you dial up is the front. For instance, if I have a lashup of three SD9's (the arrow > represents the direction the cab is facing) ...
