URGENT! Someone is calling, saying they are from Comfort Inns and they are having computer problems with the reservation system for the 26 the and 27th. To keep your reservation they need you to give them your credit card number for verification. HANG UP!
Follow the Amhurst Sponsor logo go to Accommodations get the hotel number and call them. They are aware of the phishing. They will give you the police number to report the call. They will not ask for your CC number. If you gave out CC number call your card provider.
White Deer & Loganton Layout Plan/Build - Pennsylvania Narrow Gauge c.1910
Hey, Gang. Thought I'd start a new blog for the construction of what I'm initially calling A Full Day of Trains at Loganton.
My rambling, 11-page (so far!) blog on prototype research, historical context, and developing some potential layouts is over at https://model-railroad-hobbyist.com/node/34770. Take a look for some of the background on this and other (hopefully future!) layouts. I'm not done with all the information there, but thought it would be good to break out and start something fresh for what I'm actually going to build.

I'm sorry if this is in the incorrect forum, or if there is a previous POST about this subject (I couldn't find one).
Relay Shield or Motor Shield
Greetings,
I am writing to ask about the difference between a Relay Shield and the Motor Shield for my newly constructed Arduino Uno DCC++ base station.
Here is an image of the Relay Shield:
brass caboose occasionally shorts out
I have a brass caboose that was beautifully painted by a previous owner. My problem is that it occasionally shorts out, causing the DCC system to reset. This is annoying.
A friend suggested I brush "Liquid Electrical Tape" on the underframe any place where the wheels might touch - center sill and inside of steps.
Does this seem like a good idea?

Anybody have experience with LocoFi?
I see WIFi Model Railroad has banner ads (for LocoFi) on the forums. Sounds interesting, almost to good to be true. I think having only a smart phone app as a throttle is an issue. I have a ProtoThrottle that I really, really like. I don't know if Iowa Scaled Engineering can come up with a way to connect to LocoFi. How is this compared to the Ring Engineering system? Lots of questions.
Multiple Arduinos on a lap top, with JMRI
Two issues.
Background:
Laptop only has three USP ports. One needed for mouse, one needed for Digitrax PR3 interface
JMRI.
Digitrax PR3 interface
Arduino UNO with a 16 port servo card.
Was using Windows XP, but moved to Linux Mint. (Tried both, but still same issues)

Tsunami decoder : activate only bell and horn
Hello,
I'am using different machine (european and american) on my railroad. On american machine (equiped with a tsunamu dcc soundtrack decoder), I can't succeed removing the engine motor sound while keeping the bell and horn working when I activate the correspondant function : With F8 ON, the motor sound if off, and also the bell and horn.
Is there a special CV configuration so as to have the motor sound activate using a function, and bell and horn using the F2/F3/F4 functions?
