A Different Way to Install Touch Toggles

I’m redoing my control panel to use the Touch Toggle products from Berrett Hill (www.touchtoggle.com) but I’m not using the usual process of taping them to the back of my printed track schematic.  So I decided to post what I’m doing as I go along knowing that I will get some good ideas from others and maybe be of help to someone else.  DISCLAIMER:  I have no relationship with Berrett Hill other than as a very satisfied customer.

I look forward to your comments!

Conflict DSC51 vs WiThrottle

I'm using a WiThrottle app connected to a DSC51 w LNWI.  The WiThrottle app and DSC51 keep fighting with each other.  When using the app it keeps getting interrupted by the DSC51 speed setting.   If the DSC51 has the brake on it will stop the app until I make an adjustment via the app.  If the brake is off whatever the speed the dsc51 is set to will interrupt the ap and change the speed.  Any ideas on how to fix?

ESU CabControl/MC II with JMRI

For those curious or learning about ESU CabControl, so far I have successfully used the following configurations:

1. Default MCII ESU App software with CabControl out of the box.

Putting Lights and Sound in a Genesis MP15AC

Since I like several different prototypes, one of the desires of my Office Park Zone layout is to make it easy to change between different locales.  By changing just a few details, I can run trains from CN, CP, BN, a shortline, or anything else.

LokSound install into a "DCC ready" Kato

Good evening,

I have a Kato GP-35 that's "DCC ready" (8 pin connector on a board). The board is held in place by 2 screws on vertical mounts. In more recent versions, I'd imagine that the board would have been held in place by the now popular "universal" clips on either side of the motor. The distance between the screw is not the same as the clip type.

RPi3/DCC Work Cart

Just wanted to share my "keep the peace" work cart. Although we have been married for almost 50 years, my wife is not yet tired of me! She much prefers that we spend significant time together, even we are not directly communicating.

Raspberry PI, JMRI, NCE Powerhouse Pro, Android, Engine Driver

I have had JMRI for quite awhile now and just recently I took advantage of that to successfully try to use it for wireless train control for my NCE Powerhouse Pro. I downloaded the free Engine Driver for both my Android phone and my Kindle from enginedriver.mstevetodd.com (also available at Google Play). I have JRMI installed on my Raspberry Pi computer and gave it a shot. Worked exactly as the instructions in Engine Driver said it would, though to get at the Tools/Throttles/Start WiThrottle Server, I had to open PanelPro3, not DecoderPro3.

JMRI/DecoderPro issues

On Windows 10, my Decoder Pro has been w DecoderPro orking fine for a long time in conjunction with an NCE Power Cab.  When I booted the laptop today, Kasparsky noted an important update on Java so I downloaded it. While at it,  I checked JMRI and found an update there, too. Downloaded it and ran the install check utility. All was fine.
