Hi everyone,

I'm looking for some help, please.  I want to start on my first operating module(s).  The idea behind these module(s) are to have a little switching possibility, along with some nice scenery. This will allow me to exhibit these modules ("dioramas") at our local train shows and having the option of doing some switching while people are looking at the module(s).

This car repair facility is in Bridgeton, North Carolina. Seems like it could be a good excuse for those of us that have more two cars with the same car number. One could be weathered and looking in need of repair,and leave the other in new condition. It would be a great place to shuttle cares of all types in and out. On a spur off the local Norfolk Southern Railroad. Also, across the Neuse River in New Bern, NS has a small and busy yard that has a wye with what looks like one leg with an 18" radius curve if it were in HO scale.

John Allen's "Timesaver" requires switching know-how to move the cars efficiently within the track constraints.  

The phone ap is a good learning opportunity.   Switching assignments increase in complexity as deliveries are completed.  Ten minutes can quickly elapse as an assignment progresses.   If a modeler has free time waiting for something, "Timesaver" is a nice option, otherwise it's a time waster !
