A new version of my earlier spreadsheet is now available and is being used on a fully operating (not merely switching) layout.

New functionality involves the ability to handle multiple (up to 3) types of cars at a given slot, handle specific manually assigned cars by car markings and provide a (manual) communication medium between train crews and Agent/Operators responsible for various stations, both within a session and across sessions

The truth is I'd rather build the Placerville Branch then operate it; least right now. I know that for several reasons. The latest is that about a month ago I finished up a summer of building projects.

A few live and unedited shots from this past Sunday's Allagash operating session, courtesy of friend and recent addition to the Allagash operating crew, Ken Karlewicz. Ken is pictured in the "thumbs up" shot. He is officially the AGR staff photographer. Ken's a real talent and finds ways to get very natural, unrehearsed photos.

We operate the K&EFR regularly on the first Monday evening of the month. For this months session we had the following operators  a Hostler to operate the staging yard, a Yard Master at Kanunda, the main station on the K&EFR one road crew with two operators and another road crew which had a single operators and finally the Controller (dispatcher). The video embedded will I hope give an idea of how a K&EFR operating session looks.
