Planning the Citadel Complex, help and advice needed

So, I have decided to start planning out a very important part of the White Lion Railways network, being the Citadel Complex, which is the official name of the Modern Columbus Union Station, in Columbus, Ohio.  The Citadel is the Epicenter of White Lion Railways operations, being the Central station of the High Speed rail system that links Cincinnati, Dayton, Columbus, Akron, Cleveland, White Lion City, and Toledo, as well as the East/West railway line connecting Lima, Columbus, and Steubenville.

Op Session Etiquette

Opinions please.

When I go to different op sessions few things annoy me that to see non model railroad items put on the layout. Sceniced and unsceniced, from car cards to drinks to clothing a few times. Personally I think it’s disrespectful to the owner but I’m willing to hear other thoughts to see if I’m off base.

Armoured train ideas

I’ve been looking over the ideas of getting and running armoured trains, as they are planned to make up a bulk of the White Lion Railways fleet.  Many would probably have to be custom built as well.  I’m looking at some freelance designs as well as prototypical designs.  Any ideas for service outside of a war zone?

Loaner or Crew Member?

I have a topic here that has long been burning in my mind. That is, are you a "loaner" who prefers to build and operate your layout by yourself, or maybe with one other person, . . . or do you function best when you are with a "crew" of workers and operators???

I have participated in the hobby with both types and after many long years I can with confidence say that I do NOT like operating with a crew. Many of you operate with half a dozen operators or more. I know some of you that won't (can't) operate with less than ten or more operators.

Loads and Empties - Also a question about Bluford Shops N scale Hoppers

Now that I am getting closer to running trains, and have settled on an era, I am starting to build up my rolling stock. I recently discovered Bluford Shops who have multiple models of N scale hopper cars that fit my needs nicely. I have never seen any of their models in person but they look quite nice in photos.

I am curious if the loads are removable? And, if they aren't "officially" removable, if anyone knows if it is possible to remove them with a bit of work without destroying the car.

1986 UP Condensed T-Plan

I have added images of the 1986 UP Condensed Transportation Plan to my web site wnbranch.com.  It is a summary of all the regularly scheduled through freights on the UP in May of 1986.  The document lists the trains in alphabetical order , then gives the departure time at origin and the arrival time at final destination.
