Replacement Couplers for Rivorassi and AHM passenger cars

Where can I find replacement trucks and or couplers for old versions of these cars. They all have Horn-Hook couplers and I would like to give them Kadees. Any suggestions would be greatly appreicated.

Does anyone know if it is safe for me to use these? Also what is Full vs. Pulse Power?

Has anyone had experience with the Walthers Street Sections

Has anyone had any experience with the Walthers Street sections? I am looking into them and was wondering if they are a good quality and easy to use/worth the money.

First kit build attempts..

Took home two Accurail Center flow hoppers to work on today from the club meeting. As usual I forgot to take pictures (getting 6th graders to sit down and stop being grabby is harder than herding cats) with all the chaos, but here at home I got some. Overall it is a good kit but getting the detail parts in was a pain and a screwdriver/drill is a useful tool for making them larger.

EDIT: Changed name since adding more cars.

Kingsbury Ave done

Kingsbury Avenue, all 9 feet of it, is paved from one end to the other. What a project this was! Fitting all the pieces into each turnout was the most difficult part. Good thing I made templates of all 3 sections. That made it much easier. Still tedious, but easier. Now to do some weathering on the surface. Add some manhole covers. Tar patches. Small potholes, etc, etc.

Kadee detail parts

Does anyone have experience of the Kadee boxcar ladders in HO? I've been using the Details Associates ones to dress up cars, but wonder how easy the KD ones are to install.

Thanks!

John

If you thought T Scale (1:450) was small check out TY Scale (1:900)

I was just browsing around looking for some interesting railroad things and found this noteworthy one. I am not sure how many people have heard of TY scale (I am sure most have heard of T) but it is small following I will have photos comparing T and TY scale sadly none of them together but they will give you the idea of size.

The largest of these is 4"x7"

Control Panels

I am planning the 5th (hopefully the last as I am getting older each year) iteration of my switching layout for me and up to 5 operators. There is one thing I, and perhaps others, need help with - a suitable control panel for my Zypher, accessories power pack and all the buttons/switches etc. that need to be centralized. Most photos posted show these beautiful fascia single and double deck layouts with sweeping panoramas, extravagant lighting and people with walk-around throttles. I'm looking for the guts of an operation for smaller layouts.
