Briccis Junction - how I'm going to build it
hi to every one.
I'm building a section for my layout. The section will represent a simple junction between two double track lines.
First, the trackplan:
Actually, this is as I planned to buid it. In the final version, the farm is located on the other side of the mainline, and not so parallel to tracks!

Modeling Excellence - Miniaturization
Well now - can you model this small? In the eye of a needle?
I have painted molded figures in N scale somewhat well, but this person really "takes the cake". He sculpts AND paints - 1:5000 ? - 1:10000 ? molecular paint thickness ?

Some pics of my ¨future¨ HO layout
Hi guys, this Pablo (Moya) from Costa Rica, just wanted to share a few pics of a couple of sections of my future HO layout... loosely based on western USA... Hope you like it!
Why the fascination with Appalachian railroads?
Trying to decide on a theme for my new HO layout and I've chosen a track plan. The trackplan is a Byron Henderson design that is in turn based off the MR "Virginian" project layout. While trying to decide on a theme, I tired to convince myself that maybe just doing an Appalachian coal hauler theme would be interesting. I didn't have much luck....Coal haulers are interesting enough I guess but what is the fascination with Appalachian railroads, especially with contributors to MR?
Using Real Dirt as Ballast
Jack suggested I start a new thread on this topic.
Here is a quick run down of the techniques I used with real dirt to create the look in the bottom photo.
Cotton Belt F unit
To All: One of the railroads on the E. St. Louis Rail Group Layout is the Cotton Belt. The Blue Streak Merchandise is the premier train that ran on the prototype Cotton Belt , so is it on the layout. This train carried time sensitive auto parts and LCL freight. I painted, lettered, weathered and dullcoated this shell for use on a Proto 2000 chassis, to pull the BSM. After this pix was taken I installed window glass, grab irons, couplers, cut bars, etc.
Litchfield & Madison RS-3
To All: Another locomotive run on the E. St. Louis Rail Group Layout is an RS-3 Litchfield & Madison one.I painted, lettered, weathered and dullcoated it. The decals are by Champion.

Looking for someone who can print some white decals
Hey guys, working on my California HSR project and I need to get some Amtrak white decals printed for it. Does anybody out there have an Alps or other printed that can print a page of white decals? If so let me know what it would cost for a page 8.5X11. It's all white, no other colors. Mostly text.
Appreciate any help!! This project is coming along nicely, been meaning to post a blog on it.
Best,
Rob
Litchfield & Madison Caboose
To All: I am a fan of the caboose, that is why I model from 1950-1970. This Litchfield & Madison caboose was kit bashed by me and Champion decals applied (sadly this company is no longer in business). The L&M was a subsidiary of the C&NW, used by that road to gain entry to E. St. Louis.

PS: The title to this blog post should be Litchfield & Madison Caboose
San Diego Power Plant
To All: Another building I built for my customer in Japan was a power plant in N Scale. Again he sent me drawing of the actual plant to build the model from. This plant was just down the street from the passenger station. The structure is made of styrene as a base and the columns and decorative work built up of layered styrene in the correct profiles.
