Hello MRH!
Hello everyone,
Well, I thought it was long overdue to finally hop on, introduce myself and become more active here on MRH.

Custom Decals, E. St. Louis Rail Group RR
To All: I just ordered custom decals for my E. St. Louis Rail Group RR from Rail Graphics.
I had them make me some years ago for my Santa Fe Terminal & Transfer RR.
So I went to them again. My slogan is "Short on mileage, Long on Service". The
herald is elliptical with the name on the inside perimeter and an arrow piercing the
Reverse running (sort of) Backdrops: how much realism is too much?
***UPDATE 10-22-13***
Brought this thread back up to so that those that haven't seen it can get additional information since there is another thread (with new input) currently on the site. I'm not trying to compete with the other thread, but to supplement it.
Staging Yard Lighting
This weekend I enlisted a couple "volunteers" to help install some lighting for my staging yard. Trains are actively staged during the session, and the lack of lighting was something of a hindrance.
10 X 10's HO scale
As I begin to move forward on my Richlawn Railroad V2 I can't help but wonder how many other "10 X 10s" are out there (even though my layout room is 10ft X 12ft) in HO scale. It is certainly a challenge to design for a smaller area. I'm sure there are a number of you out there, so perhaps the "under 120 square foot" group (yes, I know that 10ft X 10Ft is 100 square feet) could sort of come together to share what we've learned (or are learning).
Richlawn Railroad V2: Room lighting
Let there be light! While my track plan is being finalized I wanted to make some type of progress on the railroad room. I considered a number of methods to light the room / layout and decided to use track lighting with PAR20 heads (50 watt maximum) so yesterday I ordered the items I need for my 10ft by 12ft room. Why track lighting you ask? Well, my friend Kevin (Wnrr.net) used it to light his excellent railroad. I like the ability to be able to move the lights around and aim them to my liking.
