Expanding a NCE PowerCab
Question.
I need/would like to expand my NCE Power cab, but I’m having trouble finding the correct information.
My need centers around adding another plug in plate on the opposite side of my layout, and the ability to either move my Powercab to that plate, and/or plug in an additional throttle.
With that in mind, I’ve identified that I’ll need the following things

Guys,
Our two drives are ready for programming and layout testing to get out the final bugs and prepare for production.
Here is the Blomberg based drive:
Struggling to get my loco to behave using a TCS T4X decoder
Hi all, I've got a Athearn RTR SW1500 that I'm struggling to set up. I won it on e-bay and it came with an NCE decoder build in. This decoder was very basic however (it was an N scale decoder to boot), and I couldn't coax any low speed performance out of it. In fact, I needed to increase the throttle when it would suddenly start to move, but not good enough for switching. I still had a TCS T4X decoder sitting around, which I had used previously in another loco before that one was converted to a sound equiped decoder.
Electronic Components
Does anyone know where to purchase components (ie: diodes, resistors, transistors, wire, etc) beside Radio Shack? There was a day when you could walk into an electronic supply store and pick up all these items for constructing an electric project.
Location of Gaps
I'm planning my N-Scale road and will be using DCC (NCE PowerCab.) Attached is a portion of the track plan. Can anyone advise me where to cut gaps in the rails and what circuit breaker/auto-reversing circuits I should use? I will be using Peco turnouts and crossing. Any advice as to Electro-Frog or non? Thanks for your help.
Beginner Question
Hi all
As a starter I'm trying to find my way into the DCC world.
I'm planing a layout with at the beginning one and maximum five loco's. The turnouts will be equipped with hand trows so I am looking for a DCC system that only needs to command 1-5 loco's. The loco's will be H0n3 from Blackstone or similar.
I had a look around and the Digitrax system looks good to me.
Would be the DB150 5 Amp DCC Command Station/Booster with Intelligent AutoReverse
Walthers digital turntable
My neighbor has asked me to help him install his HO Walthers 130' Digital Turntable. He runs Digitraxx but does not plan to use his digital throttle for track selection.
I have several questions/concerns about this unit:
What's between the packets?
Hi everyone,
I am a new kid to the hobby—MRH subscriber for about 4 weeks. I’ve recently retired and intend to build a small, portable, L-shaped HO layout. I have some weird ideas about designing four or five units that resemble kitchen wall cabinets... Set up the wall ledgers, then anchor the “cabinets” to each other and the wall, etc. But that’s another discussion…
