Pacasmayo (Peru) railway update

Lack of snow doesn't do much for x-country skiing but sure helps with modeling time. I've been putting off lettering and numbering my FC Pacasmayo equipment but finally got down to it over the holidays. One item was autovagon (railcar) No.

Best Beginner Book?

I am new to this place. It looks full of great threads.

Walua Bridge

Updated 11/15/2015

This bridge has been begging me to be included in my layout. Lately it seems to consume my thoughts so I spent some time with a tape measure and camera but had to go back a couple more times. There are so many little details that I wonder if anyone but me will notice (or care). On the other hand, who am I building this for? Certainly I live in a vacuum so, aside from these posts, it will never really get any scrutiny unless I ask - so here goes.

Looking for suggestions on custom dry transfer vendors.......

...............to produce these and other white lettering.  Now that I have the files, I need to get them made.

Thanks,

CI Rail

What do you think of the CI Rail

FC de Pacasmayo

With dramatic scenery, short trains and some quite unique equipment, Peru's railways offer some great opportunities for the modeler. Having seen Luis' layout in a recent blog I thought I would add a few pictures of another Peruvian layout, my freelance  FC de Pacasmayo. The real FCP was abandoned in 1968 after much of the line washed out, but what if it had survived and been extended...?

A Good Railroad to model (NASA RR)

This will be a great railroad to model. You have different scenery, bridges, loads from the harbor, the spent rocket boosters, interchange with the FEC RR. A lot of operational opportunities.

Almost to the Point of Rocks

My first attempt at brick on wood of the Point of Rocks Station, this is being built for the man who bought my Josie Olina Mercantile. my restriction is that it can only be 4 inches wide so only one side is being built the back side is flat and he wanted it longer to fit his space.

Roundhouse Boxcab Conversion.

Each week I check in on a couple of blogs like Thunder Mesa Mining, Stockton and Copperopolis, and Wreckers Reef.  Frank Palmer (Wreckers Reef) bought a Roundhouse Boxcab only to be very disappointed.  He was going to throw it in the junk box when one of the readers posted a link to a MRH members blog on how to make it run better.  Turns out it is GearedSteam's own blog.  So, I post the same link here for those who finally want to tackle this project.  There is a video with sound too.

Status of Model Citizen Video Project?

Has anyone seen anything published on the progress of the Model Citizen video project?  I've checked their website several times since they reached their funding goal of $30,000 earlier this year but have seen nothing on their progress since they met their funding goal.  Maybe I'm not looking in the right place.  Does anyone have an active website for them that shows their progress?
