Red and Green LED signal lights dimming

I have recently added 2 signals to my layout using LED's. The signals are wired to operate from a PECO switch under the switch machine, so when the turnout is thrown against oncoming traffic, the signal turns red. The first one worked fine, but when I added the second one I found a problem. The green signal would dim when only one turnout was thrown, so one signal would display red and the other green.

Need CAMA throttle

Since so many are going DCC, does anyone have a CAMA transistor throttle they would like to sell reasonable?  N gage please.  Building layout, too many good DC engines to change, many can not go DCC, so I am stuck for help.

Will it run?

OK gents,

May be a silly question, but I have an Atlas locomotive without sound that I run on DCC. Soon will take to a layout that only runs on DC. My question is, will this loco run fine on the friends DC layout, and do I need to do anything special to get it to run on his layout?

Connecting switching power supplies at ground?

Hello,

Can I tie the grounds of switching power supplies together without causing problems?  I'm sure the loads (positive side) on each supply are not particularly well balanced at the moment.

I'm at the point of segregating LED lighting strips into areas.  I have three and may expand to four 12 volt 33 amp switching power supplies.  Wiring the control panel would become a lot easier if I could tie all the 12 volt grounds together.  I put a VOM between the grounds of two and got 40 volts and decided to ask questions.

LED strip power supply cooling fan

Hi all,

I recently installed and wired a 12 VDC, 30A (sold by Micro-Mark and eBay) power supply to power two LED lighting strips on my layout.  Each LED strip consists of a 5m long, 300 unit, type 2835 rated at 24W.  Each strip is connected to the power supply through a PWM dimmer.

Electronic solder flux

I have seen in videos on MR Video plus as well as on TrainmasterTV  and on the internet the use of flux for electronic soldering. Once at a Narrow Gauge Convention I saw a dealer selling Carr's Orange (I believe) flux which will make solder work better without corroding electronic circuits. I have looked online and not been successful. Where can one purchase flux made for electronic projects like Carr's Orange or similar?  Any other suggestion out there?
