Weekly Photo Fun - Feb 21st-27th
Happy Friday! Let's start the Weekly Photo Fun picture sharing!
BLI N&W J
I was curious if anyone who is running the BLI N&W J on straight
DC is having any problems? Mine constantly stalls. I've double
checked all connections. All my other engines run great except for the J.
Thanks

Athearn Mike
I have an Athearn Mike. The motor runs, the wheels do not. I want to remove the shell. I called Athearn and they said to pull hard. I've tried with no success. Does anyone have any suggestions?

Rx224 enters traffic after 2 and a half years
Hi All,
A rather momentous occasion occurred recently, when my South Australian Railways Rx class 4-6-0 entered traffic.
The prototype loco entered traffic in April 1915, and was built by Walker and Co. of Maryborough in Queensland. Some 80-odd of the Rx class loco's were operated by the South Australian Railways, and were basically a jack-of-all trades, go-anywhere loco's and weighed in at 80 tonnes and were equipped with Belpare fireboxes. Some loco's received superheated boilers, however, Rx224 (as I have modeled), remained a saturated loco.
Tyco 2-8-2 Steam Locomotive Kit
I need suggestions. I very gratefully received a Tyco 2-8-2 steam locomotive for Christmas. I have searched the internet for blogs or examples of people putting together one of these, buy have failed. I would like to build it, into a reliable model, so I'm asking for help.
Bachmann HO 2-6-0 driver diameter?
Could somebody with the Spectrum Bachmann 2-6-0 please measure the driver diameter for me? I am hoping that it is the same as the low boiler 4-6-0, so that I can replace some or all of the drivers. I like the counterweight style on the 2-6-0 a bit better, as it will be a little easier to modify for my purposes.
Looking for steam loco drivers
Hi,
I am looking for 80" HO scale boxpok drivers for a GS-4 rebuild project.
I don't really care for the warranty option given by Bachmann for my early loco. Mind you, it is fair, I just don't like the option.
I'm hoping to use 3-d printing to replace the crummy split axles, but so far no follow up responses from the 3-d printer folks.
All of the usual folks either don't have them, stopped making/carrying.
Converting HO Bachmann steam drives to On30 trains.
I have seen the kits available for converting HO (including Bachmann) steam drives to On30 steam engines. I have viewed the kits offered by Backwoods and a few others. We have discussed converting a Spectrum 3 truck HO Shay that I have to an On30 Shay in another post.
Cab Curtains
I've completed a set of cab curtains based on an article here on MRH. I posted about them on my personal blog at: http://coloradosouthern.blogspot.com/ .
Please enjoy if you visit,
